I was having difficulty conceiving of any sort of design for my site. Todd came up with a brilliant concept drawn from the cover of my book and then he executed it brilliantly. No mid-course corrections were required. He got what I needed better than I got it myself.

Spectrum Publications

Spectrum Publications needed a more flexible and manageable web presence for its magazine dedicated to activism and care for people with autistic disorders. I transferred entire site database from Joomla to ExpressionEngine, redesigned the site from a one-size-fit-all template to a customized look and fixed the workflow so editors would have to update once to have changes appear everywhere.

Our readers are raving about the new setup. The site is so much cleaner and easier to navigate than it was previously. The system Todd implemented lets us to update the site more frequently, allowing the people at our company with even the least of web skills to make additions. In all, it’s a faster, more efficient and sleek design that’s exactly what we wanted.

ShopGopher.com needed a completely new website with a higher level of functionality that other designers just couldn’t visualize. Todd Jackson really took the time to understand our business and offered solutions that we didn’t even know existed. With very little input from us he created the right website on the first try - a website that actually grows with our business.

Drive Like A Woman

Michele Shapiro hired me to rebuild her inspiring site Drive Like A Woman as the web magazine she had envisioned. The results merge both the automotive and the fashionable, demonstrating that the site’s name is anything but an insult.

“I had a bad experience with my first designer who gave me an amateurish design and technology that didn’t work. I was nervous about working with another designer, but Todd immediately put me at ease. He explained everything each step of the way. I’m not well versed in online technology, and he made sure I understood everything throughout the whole process. He went out of his way to make sure I was happy with the site. In the end, he provided me with an innovative design and solid professional back end technology. I’ll admit that I’m a perfectionist and had grand ideas of what my site would be, and Todd managed to exceed my expectations—not an easy task. I would highly recommend him to everyone I know.”

New Canaan Mounted Troop

The site’s mission is to help drive awareness and donations for New Canaan Mounted Troop, a 501c3 not-for profit. I made it easy to find and fall in love with one of the non-profit’s eighteen horses. And then, with just a little more effort, adopt one. Each horse has a customized profile with photo gallery.

Todd did an outstanding job articulating our vision and his design work conveyed the spirit of the organization really well.  The site allows for a variety of content but at the same time is simple, fun and easy to navigate. He was also very helpful with regard to providing recommendations for best practices and functionality to meet our business goals.

Todd is a master.  He crafted the site for THE LOST SPY with creativity, enthusiasm and ultimate flexibility.  He understands writers—and the book world—unlike any Web designer I’ve met.

Jennifer Barrett

In the wake of writing her first book, The Smart Cookies’ Guide to Making More Dough, Jennifer Barrett needed a site to cement herself as an expert in personal finance, but in a fun, personable way that represented her belief that anyone can take charge of their money matters.

Todd is a true professional. It was a pleasure to work with him on my website. He’s honest, reliable, and charges a very reasonable price for his services. He’s also got a great eye for what works—and what doesn’t—on a site. And he’s willing to spend a lot of time and effort to make sure you get it just right. I was very pleased with the final product.

Shoot the Messenger

Another creation by The Daily Show‘s Lizz Winstead, “Shoot the Messenger” goes behind the scenes of “Wake Up World,” America’s worst morning show. The web home for the show was built entirely in Expression Engine for frequent updates and cross-linking of content.

Tom Reiss

I redesigned Samuel Johnson Prize-winning author Tom Reiss’s site for his critically-acclaimed biography The Orientalist. The new site makes it easier for visitors to get involved in the life of Lev Nussimbaum, the subject of The Orientalist. I also created for Tom Reiss a DVD featuring his press appearances to help sell his next non-fiction book.

Mike Sacks

Humor writer Mike Sacks needed a web home to feature his work from magazines such as Esquire, Salon, Vanity Fair, McSweeneys and The New Yorker. Mike’s work is displayed cleanly with small touches of graphic whimsy. I also built the site for his upcoming book, And Here’s the Kicker, featuring interviews with more than 20 humor writers.
